I work with individuals, couples, and families on many issues, including grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, and issues relating to neurodivergence. Clients often come to me carrying past traumas and current stressors that make it hard to move forward. I'm here to listen, offer insight, and provide tools and support to help you reach your goals.
What’s keeping you from healing and thriving in your life and relationships?
My therapy style is humanistic-existential (we all have growth potential and seek meaning), psychodynamic (early experiences shape us), and somatic (our bodies hold trauma). I also offer eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and systems work for couples and families.
My specialities and approach
Trauma: Our bodies carry our stories
I believe trauma is stored in the body and requires more than just a top-down (cognitive) therapeutic approach. Flashbacks, tension, insomnia, and feelings of disconnection may indicate that your body is in survival mode. True healing begins when we learn to listen to what our bodies are trying to tell us. I integrate traditional talk therapy with body-based approaches to help you release trauma not just from your mind, but from your nervous system.
Grief and loss: Every journey is unique
As a trained grief counselor, I support people through a wide range of emotional experiences and mourning timelines. I provide a safe, supportive space where your feelings and your healing journey are respected. This means listening to you without judgment and walking beside you at your own pace. I can also share strategies to help you cope with difficult emotions, honor your loss, and begin to rebuild.
Neurodivergence: A family approach
As mom to a child with ADHD, I understand the impact that neurodivergence can have on the individual as well as the whole family. Whether your family is navigating ADHD, autism, learning differences, or other neurodiverse experiences, therapy can provide the tools, understanding, and support you need to thrive together. I offer a strengths-based approach and family-centered care.
